The Pro Ortho toothbrush makes brushing easier for people with braces. The wide head cleans teeth, gums and braces at the same time. The hard inner bristles are specially designed for cleaning braces, while the outer Ultrasoft Konex HD® bristles are gentle on the gums. The flexible handle ensures easy handling.
The compact rows of bristles, which are 1.5 times wider than the average toothbrush head, enable quick and efficient cleaning – teeth, gums and braces are thoroughly cleaned in just two minutes. The head is not only wider, but also shorter, so you can easily guide the brush along the braces and clean every bracket, tooth and gum.
The two outer rows on each side are equipped with ultra-soft Konex HD® bristles. These are so fine and supple that they adapt to the contours of the mouth and gently clean along the gum line and between the teeth. The “UltraSoftness” is also ideal for gums that are often irritated by braces.
The inner two rows of bristles are made of harder material and have been specially designed for cleaning braces. They are stiff and tough, but still safe for braces. They need to be harder because normal bristles wear out quite quickly with braces. The hard inner bristles are also slightly shorter than the outer ones, creating a recess that is designed for your braces. This gives you an all-round clean when brushing, covering your teeth, braces and gums at the same time.
The flexible and wide handle helps to relieve tension in the wrist and absorb pressure when brushing, making cleaning your teeth more comfortable and gentle.
Place the toothbrush at a 45° angle to the gums so that the bristles reach slightly into the gum line and clean gently in a circular motion. Make sure to brush each tooth individually, especially around the braces. Clean both the area above and below the wire. Work systematically from one jaw to the other, inside and out. Don’t forget the chewing surfaces and the insides of the teeth. Recommended brushing time: approx. 2 minutes. Then rinse the toothbrush well and allow to air dry.
Dental professionals recommend replacing the toothbrush at least every 3 months or after an illness.
